Guys, its not about kicking or boxing.Iits rather about having control over your own body. And believe me, it does wonders to your self-confidence. besides, every class with Ashwin is a laugh riot! You will never realise how 1 & half hour pass by!!!!

“The fight is never over until you give you up” says Ashwin and you realize the profoundity of the statement when you start implementing it in your life. This basic principle has permeated into my life and enriched it. I have never been so overwhelmed by the power of simple principles like discipline, focus and willpower. It is not a completely novel concept or something you haven’t heard of before but you learn ways to pratically implement it. And what’s more is you know when there is progress because both your mind and body reflect it. So, for me it seems like kick boxing is not just a martial art here but a way of life. And a royal one at that! :)

I am personally very thrilled to see the excellent sessions though i have been here only for a while.Focus and execution with endurance and techniques are the key parameters that i observed from the classes that i attended which really inspired me.

If you really want to be a masterpiece , master it in here .

The continuous challenge of body and mind all worked out together in one class to build up your skills and also work out. It’s amazing and hope you go international towards the Netherlands! Thanks

Been associated with this activity since almost a year… … started with a simple class of parkour…which became an obsession…. shall never forget that Dinner with my Cousin, where I got introduced to Ash and the next thing you know, I was running and jumping over walls…

Kick boxing, became another passion… … I start advocating it with anyone I met… not cause it was good for kicking somene’s butt… but it was a way of leading one’s life… the whole idea of not giving up, even though the body aches to just drop it all… tht’s something I have been able to use in my life too… weird, but true…

oh yea, not to forget, looking more leaner and younger :) … thanks guys… gotta admit.. tht dinner and sikandar was one of the best dinners ever ! :)

Good fun and a great workout. Helps one keep fit. should open many more centres

As I write this, I am two days old into this art. My perception of the classes is that, it is focused towards the necessities of surviving a fight, rather than the “exotic” focus of some other martial arts forms you might have come across. Sparring in a ring, and surviving on the street are two very seperate scenarios!
I believe the classes would help shape you into the right physcial and mental condition to survive and dominate fights (ONLY for SELF DEFENCE pls!)

The classes are excellent. I found the workout and endurance training way too better than what one can do in the gym or at home.

  15. 2008 May 7

it keeps u fit and strong… u get the “never say die” attitude. its very challenging and helps a person in self defence.

It’s been a year already!!!I still remember my first few classes with Ashwin(in Koramagala)when there were just 2 or 3 of us. We’ve come a long way from that. It’s been great so far, kickboxing has been physically and mentally uplifiting for me and I hope to get more out of it in the future. You guys (Ash&co) are doing a great job and I hope you will continue doing the good work!!! Cheers!

I’ve been coming for classes for just about 2 months but it’s amazing just how much of a difference it makes to your attitude.

Last friday, i was dropping a girlfriend off at close to 12 in the night on my bike(yes, that was incredibly stupid). I was taking relatively crowded roads and keeping some vehicles in my line of sight so that i have traffic ahead as well as behind me (it wouldnt have struck me to do that 2 months before). I took a turn into one of the quieter residential roads and was about 200m ahead of a BPO cab behind me.. when 2 guys on a bike snuck up with their headlights off and tried to snatch my friend’s bag. They didnt have enough time as the cab also turned into that street.. so they had to leave but before they did, they pulled me off the bike – i’m guessing, because they didnt want me to be writing down their vehicle number and calmly telling the police.. my friend and i fell off the bike and have some minor injuries.

Thanks to the kickboxing classes, I started traveling on the road in a constant state of vigil – I sensed the bike before i saw it without the headlights on in my rear view mirror – and that little 2-second lead helped me be steady for anything that happened – after i fell, i was up and taking care of my friend immediately, getting her to a hospital etc. as i’d time to react and didnt go into shock or anything. Even though i was pulled off my bike from another moving bike, i was able to get my wrist off the guy’s grip and fell on my side – so i just have one knee injury and nothing else. in case these guys had tried taking my bag away, i wouldnt have had much loss – after one early session on self-defense, ive been carrying very less cash and mostly all cards are at left home unless needed. I transfer other valuables onto the boot of the bike and leave the bag light. I make sure i take high traffic routes if traveling post 8pm and tell someone at home my coordinates and route i’m taking while traveling.

Had i been taking classes for a few months longer, im guessing, i’d not have been on the road, alone with a girlfriend friday night at 12, feeling invincible.. i’d have been smarter and driven or left earlier and gotten off the road if i had been on the bike.

hi, i train at Indiranagar. i think your classes are great. The instructors are very well trained and push us really hard. my friend who is a commando with the armed forces watched on of our sessions – he was really impressed with the way Naqueeb conducted the classes

This was by far the best form of exercise I had ever tried! And the energy with which Ashwin conducts his class takes it to a different level altogether. I found it the most taxing and the most relaxing. Before joining the class I was skeptical about this line I read in the ad for this class – “It tones muscles you didn’t even know existed and no gym can ever tone”. But after attending the class, I can assure you that this is so true! I wish I could attend them even now.

I’ve attented few classes now, the adrenaline rush is phenomenal. I joined the classes for couple of reasons :

    1) Reduce weight
    2) Move out of my comfort zone – the lazy bum that I am
    3) Self defense – very important
    4) Improve fitness and stamina
    5) Build confidence – physically & mentally.

With the caveat in place, I decided to take the plunge and attend the trial class. I wasn’t sure if this was for me because I nearly passed out on the 1st day! You’ll really push us against the wall – and its much appreciated!
I find the classes fun, energetic, enthusiastic, extremely educational….and of course, painful – the “good” one :)

Thanks guys for putting this together. Keep up the great work.

A solid experience! Came for the trial and was hooked. Someone shanti and passive like me , I really took to it :) Personally, I learned a lot about my strengths/weaknesses. Love the logic to everything. Sure I wasn’t anywhere close to being good but at least I know a lot now that I was clueless about before. And the class is exciting and just rocks :) Shouvik, you’re a great instructor! Thanks!
:) Leaving you Shootfighters, Inc. but just till I find your gang somewhere else in the world :D

Extraordinary! I came to my first class on a chilly Saturday morning in Jayanagar, thanks to my buddy Panju! I got hooked on instantly! After that I got to meet Ash, Puttu and others and it’s been such a pleasure training with them all! Kickboxing transcends physical fighting. It teaches control over mind and body! And all our classes are peppered with great tips on how to handle real life situations, most through past experience!
Kick boxing is a sure-fire confidence booster and elevates you to a place you never really thought existed! Truly, it’s been an awesome trip!!

    Cheers!!
