The Kickboxing class is really cool its challenging and you can build musles, become thin, you can fight with a street guy who tries to beat you.
the classes challenge us in so many different ways and forces us to become better skilled individuals to be able to handle pretty much any situation that we might be faced with…
i love the way it pushes me beyond my limits! but its never boring, only it leaves me so tired and sore the next day,
Guys, its not about kicking or boxing.Iits rather about having control over your own body. And believe me, it does wonders to your self-confidence. besides, every class with Ashwin is a laugh riot! You will never realise how 1 & half hour pass by!!!!
really amazing to see how you can work wonders with your mind… this class is not just about leaning but also how you apply what you learn in your daily routine.. it brings out the tuf side of you and a never give up attitude…
-” It’s upto you”
“The fight is never over until you give you up” says Ashwin and you realize the profoundity of the statement when you start implementing it in your life. This basic principle has permeated into my life and enriched it. I have never been so overwhelmed by the power of simple principles like discipline, focus and willpower. It is not a completely novel concept or something you haven’t heard of before but you learn ways to pratically implement it. And what’s more is you know when there is progress because both your mind and body reflect it. So, for me it seems like kick boxing is not just a martial art here but a way of life. And a royal one at that!
u guys r rocking!!!!!
I am personally very thrilled to see the excellent sessions though i have been here only for a while.Focus and execution with endurance and techniques are the key parameters that i observed from the classes that i attended which really inspired me.
If you really want to be a masterpiece , master it in here .
The continuous challenge of body and mind all worked out together in one class to build up your skills and also work out. It’s amazing and hope you go international towards the Netherlands! Thanks
Been associated with this activity since almost a year… … started with a simple class of parkour…which became an obsession…. shall never forget that Dinner with my Cousin, where I got introduced to Ash and the next thing you know, I was running and jumping over walls…
Kick boxing, became another passion… … I start advocating it with anyone I met… not cause it was good for kicking somene’s butt… but it was a way of leading one’s life… the whole idea of not giving up, even though the body aches to just drop it all… tht’s something I have been able to use in my life too… weird, but true…
oh yea, not to forget, looking more leaner and younger
… thanks guys… gotta admit.. tht dinner and sikandar was one of the best dinners ever !
Kicking..Punching..taking down.. sounds kewl!!!! It is sooooo much fun. I enjoy every bit of it.U guys are grt.
Good fun and a great workout. Helps one keep fit. should open many more centres
As I write this, I am two days old into this art. My perception of the classes is that, it is focused towards the necessities of surviving a fight, rather than the “exotic” focus of some other martial arts forms you might have come across. Sparring in a ring, and surviving on the street are two very seperate scenarios!
I believe the classes would help shape you into the right physcial and mental condition to survive and dominate fights (ONLY for SELF DEFENCE pls!)
The classes are excellent. I found the workout and endurance training way too better than what one can do in the gym or at home.
it keeps u fit and strong… u get the “never say die” attitude. its very challenging and helps a person in self defence.
It’s been a year already!!!I still remember my first few classes with Ashwin(in Koramagala)when there were just 2 or 3 of us. We’ve come a long way from that. It’s been great so far, kickboxing has been physically and mentally uplifiting for me and I hope to get more out of it in the future. You guys (Ash&co) are doing a great job and I hope you will continue doing the good work!!! Cheers!
Rocking!
I’ve been coming for classes for just about 2 months but it’s amazing just how much of a difference it makes to your attitude.
Last friday, i was dropping a girlfriend off at close to 12 in the night on my bike(yes, that was incredibly stupid). I was taking relatively crowded roads and keeping some vehicles in my line of sight so that i have traffic ahead as well as behind me (it wouldnt have struck me to do that 2 months before). I took a turn into one of the quieter residential roads and was about 200m ahead of a BPO cab behind me.. when 2 guys on a bike snuck up with their headlights off and tried to snatch my friend’s bag. They didnt have enough time as the cab also turned into that street.. so they had to leave but before they did, they pulled me off the bike – i’m guessing, because they didnt want me to be writing down their vehicle number and calmly telling the police.. my friend and i fell off the bike and have some minor injuries.
Thanks to the kickboxing classes, I started traveling on the road in a constant state of vigil – I sensed the bike before i saw it without the headlights on in my rear view mirror – and that little 2-second lead helped me be steady for anything that happened – after i fell, i was up and taking care of my friend immediately, getting her to a hospital etc. as i’d time to react and didnt go into shock or anything. Even though i was pulled off my bike from another moving bike, i was able to get my wrist off the guy’s grip and fell on my side – so i just have one knee injury and nothing else. in case these guys had tried taking my bag away, i wouldnt have had much loss – after one early session on self-defense, ive been carrying very less cash and mostly all cards are at left home unless needed. I transfer other valuables onto the boot of the bike and leave the bag light. I make sure i take high traffic routes if traveling post 8pm and tell someone at home my coordinates and route i’m taking while traveling.
Had i been taking classes for a few months longer, im guessing, i’d not have been on the road, alone with a girlfriend friday night at 12, feeling invincible.. i’d have been smarter and driven or left earlier and gotten off the road if i had been on the bike.
Waiting to get back to classes…I have missed it for almost a month now as I was very busy. Really miss the adrenaline rush, the body aches
hi, i train at Indiranagar. i think your classes are great. The instructors are very well trained and push us really hard. my friend who is a commando with the armed forces watched on of our sessions – he was really impressed with the way Naqueeb conducted the classes
This was by far the best form of exercise I had ever tried! And the energy with which Ashwin conducts his class takes it to a different level altogether. I found it the most taxing and the most relaxing. Before joining the class I was skeptical about this line I read in the ad for this class – “It tones muscles you didn’t even know existed and no gym can ever tone”. But after attending the class, I can assure you that this is so true! I wish I could attend them even now.
I’ve attented few classes now, the adrenaline rush is phenomenal. I joined the classes for couple of reasons :
1) Reduce weight
2) Move out of my comfort zone – the lazy bum that I am
3) Self defense – very important
4) Improve fitness and stamina
5) Build confidence – physically & mentally.
With the caveat in place, I decided to take the plunge and attend the trial class. I wasn’t sure if this was for me because I nearly passed out on the 1st day! You’ll really push us against the wall – and its much appreciated!
I find the classes fun, energetic, enthusiastic, extremely educational….and of course, painful – the “good” one
Thanks guys for putting this together. Keep up the great work.
Really awesome classes goin on Ashwin.. Keep up da great work..
A solid experience! Came for the trial and was hooked. Someone shanti and passive like me , I really took to it
Personally, I learned a lot about my strengths/weaknesses. Love the logic to everything. Sure I wasn’t anywhere close to being good but at least I know a lot now that I was clueless about before. And the class is exciting and just rocks
Shouvik, you’re a great instructor! Thanks!
Leaving you Shootfighters, Inc. but just till I find your gang somewhere else in the world
Extraordinary! I came to my first class on a chilly Saturday morning in Jayanagar, thanks to my buddy Panju! I got hooked on instantly! After that I got to meet Ash, Puttu and others and it’s been such a pleasure training with them all! Kickboxing transcends physical fighting. It teaches control over mind and body! And all our classes are peppered with great tips on how to handle real life situations, most through past experience!
Kick boxing is a sure-fire confidence booster and elevates you to a place you never really thought existed! Truly, it’s been an awesome trip!!
Cheers!!
Its simply sooopppeerrb!!!
This is not just a work out it gives me confidence, increases my reflexes, makes me strong and a perfect De-stress. Ashwin anchors the class so well that one would never get bored.
My friends are shocked to see me up on sat n sun morn despite partying d previous nite as i jes wouldnt wanna miss Puttu’s class
My vocal chords scared the shit out of a eve teaser bet he wouldnt do mess with any girl anymore.
U guys ROCK
dese kickboxing classes are da best, i’ve actually got a 2 pack from dis
thankyou sir
Wow! kickboxin…wat do i say that can truly describe my gratitude 2 dis mini-wonder? Is saying that kickboxin has taught me to appreciate this incredible instrument that is my body enough? Is saying that knowing that 3-4 times a week i have an outlet unlike any other 2 release pent up stress, which therefore leads 2 a calmer mind enough? Is saying that it has helped me push my own boundaries and feel the exhiliration of knowing i’m capable of still more enough? Is saying that the friends n mentors i hv met n befriended in class inspire me n leave me wit memories i won’t soon forget enough? I don’t think so but this yr and half has been the most consistent physical exercise i’ve ever pursued in my life! n that’s really sayin sumthin! Where else d’ya get 2 laugh so hard that ur gut hurts n its not jus because of crunches?
where else would u meet ppl who inspire u jus by being who they r? Ashwin, soooo many careers i can’t wrap my head around it, 1 of the most easy goin leaders i’ve ever met. Puttu, martial artist n rockstar extraordinaire! Suraj, truly kung fu Panda, man goes 2 London n pursues…yet mo martial arts! Srikanth, the juggernaut, what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? All of them in their own ways taught me that strength is not about muscle but about force of will and that’s a lesson i’ll carry all my life! So thank u! Thank u for the great n lil things i’ve learned n continue 2!
Its been 6 months since i started training … its has become an obsession now to wake up early in the morning before the sun and get started with the routine with ET. The sprinting, the Tai Chi sessions , endurance sessions where i am learning to control my body through the mind, By trying to master that one punch or kick over and over again…i have learnt that we wont get anywhere by just knowing the mechanics of how things work, it just counts as exercise. It is through Sincerity and a deep spiritual understating of the arts that we discover our inner self and this makes us better warriors… I cant do without this, Thank you Independent Shootfighters Inc for everything and all your continued support… I hope you do make it BIG worldwide and remain as the ultimate martial art foundation in Bengaluru.
The passion for the art by the coaches is inspiring:-)
Satish yelling ‘I want you to feel the beast inside you!’ is EPIC
\m/
lol
Sid’s classes @ Doodleden absolutely rock ! I just wish he’d stop giving us all so those ‘breaks’
Ashwin, that tipple together is still on for some pro-bono ideation. Love what you’ve created. Agree with George Supreet’s review completely!!
I regularly workout at the gym, but these classes were a totally different experience. The initial classes were just too tiring, and i never imagined with regular work out too, i would still struggle at kick-boxing classes. It has increased my stamina and inner strength to a new high, Feel much more confident than before.
Grappling session is one wonderful warm up and strength building exercise. Very happy to have made the decision of joining independent shoot fighter classes.
Three months back when I joined for Kickboxing, my body was not at all flexible. Now its improved a lot. Initially I was finding it difficult to run continuosly for 2 mins, now even after15 mins I don’t get tired. Thanks a lot “Independent Shootfighters Inc”.
I love these classes! the classes boosted my confidence, sharpened my survival instinct and most importantly help me loose inches of flab
